Cooking method for Chana Massalla
If using dried chick peas then you will need to follow the instructions on soaking before use. Fry the finely chopped onion until translucent in veg oil. Add the curry powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, sliced garlic and grated ginger and stir fry for 2 minutes. Add the pepper,tinned tomatoes, tomato puree, chunks of onion, sugar and soy sauce and stir fry for 2 minutes. Add the chick peas, mix in with the sauce and serve immediately topped with the coriander!
